About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as the first point of contact for US employees on HR matters
- Manage the full employee lifecycle (onboarding, performance, changes, offboarding)
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on US hiring processes
- Support managers with performance and employee relations matters
- Ensure compliance with US federal, state, and local employment laws
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems
- Manage the relationship with the PEO and ensure data accuracy
- Support benefits administration and employee queries
- Partner with Finance on payroll inputs and benefits-related processes
- Support day-to-day office and business operations in Austin
- Manage vendor and supplier relationships, contracts, and renewals
- Oversee equipment and operational support for employees
- Develop and maintain operational policies and guidelines
- Ensure alignment with global standards while meeting local needs
- Support internal travel and office-related logistics
- Partner with US leaders and UK teams to ensure consistency and best practice
- Identify and implement process improvements across HR and operations
- Support audits, reporting, and compliance activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in an HR Generalist, People Operations, or HR & Operations role (US)
- Strong knowledge of US employment law and HR best practices
- Experience supporting multi-state workforces (preferred)
- Experience in a global or matrix organisation (highly desirable)
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with high levels of ownership
- Confidence working independently and across time zones
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with HR systems and Microsoft Office tools
- Experience supporting business operations or office management
