About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the full recruiting lifecycle from intake through offer acceptance, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and extending offers across concurrent openings
  • Proactively identify and engage passive candidates through LinkedIn, Indeed, clearancejobs, recruitmilitary, vetjobs, defense networks and other similar sourcing channels
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to develop role profiles, set expectations, and move searches forward efficiently
  • Conduct phone screens and structured interviews, and help hiring teams sharpen their interviewing skills through training and question development
  • Contribute to recruiting process improvements and tools to build more consistency and structure across the function
  • Serve as a thought partner to leadership on workforce planning, sourcing strategy, and talent market insights

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in a talent acquisition role, with a track record of filling roles through direct sourcing and outbound outreach
  • Experience sourcing and engaging passive candidates, not just managing inbound pipelines
  • Experience recruiting for technical or engineering roles, with a track record of filling niche or hard-to-source positions
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills across all levels of an organization
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a strong interest in building structure where it does not yet exist
  • Candidates with a background in government contracting or defense are strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with an ATS and modern sourcing tools
  • Speed and urgency. We measure success by pipeline movement and hires made, not activity completed.
