About the role

  • Serve as a strategic and operational partner to the Chief Financial Officer, responsible for overseeing all financial management, planning, reporting, and compliance functions of the organization.
  • Guide the development of scalable financial infrastructure, ensure fiscal integrity, and enable informed decision-making across the business.
  • Oversee annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning, ensuring transparency and accuracy across all departments.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to support investment decisions, capital allocation, and resource prioritization.
  • Oversee the preparation, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
  • Analyze operating results and key performance indicators to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage the company’s capital structure and support the CFO in evaluating financing and investment strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • MBA, CPA, or CFA strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role overseeing accounting and FP&A.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, cash flow management, and financial controls.
  • Experience in government contracting or federal programs, including compliance with FAR/DFARS and cost modeling principles.
  • Demonstrated success building or optimizing financial systems and processes to support scaling organizations.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP and financial systems such as Sage Intacct or equivalent.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to simplify complex financial data for diverse audiences.
