About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Works in compliance with NRC policies, tools, manuals and guidelines.
  • Supports implementation of the logistics function in line with the action plan.
  • Prepares reports on the progress of the logistics activities for which they are responsible, as requested by the supervisor.
  • Ensures correct archiving of documents (digital and electronic).
  • Encourages and proactively proposes improvements to strengthen the logistics function.
  • Implements country-approved logistics strategies.
  • Supports supply chain management in accordance with rules and procedures in place.
  • Prepares the reports for which they are responsible: monitoring procurements according to approved procurement plans, updating the price list, maintaining the supplier register, contract follow-up, bid opening minutes, monitoring fleet and internet expenses, and tracking kit distribution plans at sites in North Kivu.
  • Archiving: responsible for the physical and electronic archiving of logistics documents in accordance with the filing tree and NRC standards.
  • Supports the Logistics Team Leader in zone-level market analysis.
  • Identifies, anticipates and manages supplier risks.
  • Participates in supplier evaluations and updates the supplier database.
  • Contributes to the monitoring of framework agreements available in North Kivu.
  • Performs any other relevant tasks related to the role.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 3 years professional experience as an Officer in a support function, preferably in supply chain within a humanitarian context.
  • Procurement/tendering skills.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Proven results in responsibilities similar to those of the position.
  • English is an asset.
  • Fluency in French, both written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of local languages is an asset.
  • Familiarity with the local context of North Kivu (NRC’s current intervention areas in GNK, Beni and Lubero territories) is an asset.
