About the role

  • - Own and maintain the product roadmap and backlog, ensuring alignment with company vision and goals, with the ability to effectively prioritise features, bugs, and tasks.
  • - Define and communicate the product vision and long-term strategy.
  • - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Development, UX, Customer Success, Marketing etc.) to bring products to life, ensuring alignment across departments during all phases of the product lifecycle.
  • - Provide line management to a UX Designer and Junior Business Analyst.
  • - Support team development and contribute to recruitment and hiring processes for the product function.
  • - Write client proposals and respond to change requests with clarity and detail, as well as communicating these proposed changes and their implications to the development team.
  • - Translate high-level requirements into user stories with clear acceptance criteria for the Development team.
  • - Support financial planning and capacity management by aligning roadmaps with delivery expectations.
  • - Delegate which features take priority based on resource availability.
  • - Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, shown through previous working experience.
  • - Experience in user research and user experience (UX) principles.
  • - Proficiency in product management tools (e.g Jira).
  • - The ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical individuals or groups.
  • - Ability to deal with a demanding workload which may include conflicting demands on time.
  • - Ability to work on own initiative and as a member of a team.
  • - Excellent interpersonal skills with people at all levels.
  • - A Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • - Desirable: A Prince2 (or similar) qualification.
