About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the program’s primary in-person representative across the western United States, traveling regularly to installations, recruiting events, and military-affiliated functions, with the heaviest concentration in California.
- Promote the program across social media and professional networking channels with engaging, audience-aware content.
- Build and grow partnerships and referral pipelines with TAP offices, command and installation contacts, National Guard units, and veteran-serving organizations.
- Deliver briefings and information sessions, and guide applicants through a supportive, well-organized admissions process.
- Keep applicant and pipeline records current in Salesforce and track recruitment metrics to strengthen outreach.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Have two or more years of experience in recruitment, admissions, outreach, or workforce development.
- Have worked with active-duty service members, veterans, or military-connected communities.
- Are skilled at creating engaging social media content for a specific audience, or can demonstrate strong aptitude for it.
- Communicate clearly and persuasively, from one-on-one conversations to large briefings.
- Are organized, self-directed, comfortable with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred), and ready to travel frequently.
- Nice to have (not required): Prior military service or experience as a military recruiter.
- Ability to independently access military installations (for example, as a retiree, current military spouse or dependent, or eligible veteran).
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field, or familiarity with DoW SkillBridge, Transition Assistance Programs (TAP), or similar transition initiatives.
