About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Direct work with Red Hat, SUSE, Debian, Ubuntu and other distributions;
- Cluster configuration and troubleshooting;
- Performance analysis, patch installation, repository administration, and experience with version upgrades and package updates;
- Disk management and file system administration;
- Monitoring using Zabbix;
- Development and maintenance of scripts using Shell Script, Python and Perl;
- Advanced troubleshooting skills and log analysis;
- Network configuration and management, boot management, and print systems;
- Automation using Ansible and knowledge of security, credential management and access control.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Technical or university degree in Information Technology, Computer Networks or related fields;
- Experience managing and administering complex, high-availability environments;
- Knowledge of operating system management on physical servers, virtual machines and cloud environments;
- Extensive experience administering the Linux operating system;
- Strong experience managing web servers: Tomcat, Apache, WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, WildFly;
- Ability to develop Shell scripts;
- Knowledge of middleware (Connect:Direct, MQSeries/IBM MQ and others).
