About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Gathering, collating, and analyzing data of cow comfort measures on dairy farms.
Responsible for field implementation of the Novus C.O.W.S. program in the Western region of US.
Provide technical assistance with cow comfort field work and research, including analysis of qualitative and quantitative data.
Presenting at customer and industry events.
Support sales of ruminant products in collaboration with Novus Sales managers through leveraging C.O.W.S. service.
Build customer relationships and share industry knowledge to help customers, farmers and cattle.
Provide marketing intelligence, proactively sharing unique tools.
Participate in events such as trade shows, conferences, symposiums, customer trips, customer meetings, and internal meetings.
Adhere to the Novus Management System (NMS), Novus Integrity System (NIS), and all policies and procedures related to position assignment.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Masters of Science or equivalent in animal sciences, marketing, business or related area.
Knowledge and understanding of the US ruminant market.
Initiative to ensure Novus’ resources are properly used to achieve maximum potential.
Team player to work with sales managers, technical support resources, marketing, and other team members.
Analytical skills to quantify practical business strategies and solutions to customer needs.
Interpersonal skills to build relationships as part of a cross-functional team.
Ability to work independently and with others.
Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to manage project database and paperwork.
Ability to interact with dairymen and nutritionists in a comfortable and professional way.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Computer skills (Microsoft Office, SAS).
Fluent English.
Spanish is a Plus.
Must be licensed, insurable and able to drive a motor vehicle.
Must be able to travel 3-5 days per week, 3 out of 4 weeks per month.
