Sales Manager, Ruminant
Novus InternationalSales Manager responsible for achieving sales targets and developing sales strategies for the ruminant portfolio in New Zealand. Collaborating with key accounts and managing distributor relationships.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Achieve annual sales targets and growth objectives for the New Zealand ruminant portfolio.
- Develop and implement the New Zealand ruminant sales strategy aligned with Oceania and APAC priorities.
- Manage direct and indirect sales through distributors, agents, and key accounts.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key accounts, feed mills and premixers, KOLs, nutritionists, and veterinarians.
- Establish, manage, and coach distributors and sales consultants.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities and provide timely feedback to senior management.
- Collaborate with Technical Services and Marketing to support product positioning and customer engagement.
- Organize and support seminars, industry events, and promotional activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Complete required sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence reports.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition, Veterinary Science, Agriculture, or related field.
- 8–10+ years of experience in ruminant nutrition, animal health, or related agribusiness.
- Proven success in senior sales or sales management roles.
- Strong understanding of the New Zealand dairy or ruminant relevant industry and market dynamics.
