About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure strong cost governance, transparency, and financial control across a portfolio of capital projects
  • Provide administrative and commercial cost support for a portfolio of food and pharmaceutical projects
  • Prepare and maintain cost baselines for food/pharma projects
  • Support the preparation of project budgets and cost breakdown structures
  • Assist in setting up cost codes and cost tracking structures in line with company requirements
  • Monitor and control project costs against approved budgets
  • Track commitments, actual costs, and forecasts
  • Maintain cost registers, payment schedules, and cash flow forecasts
  • Review quotations, variation/change proposals, and invoices for alignment with contracts and approved scope
  • Identify cost deviations and potential overruns and propose corrective actions
  • Coordinate with purchasing and finance on PO and PV documentation
  • Support change management by recording and assessing cost impacts of scope changes
  • Assist with final accounts and cost closure at project completion
  • Prepare regular cost reports (e.g. monthly budget vs. actual vs. forecast) with variance analysis
  • Provide cost input to management presentations and decision-making
  • Coordinate with Finance, Procurement, and Project Management to ensure consistent cost data

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in cost control, quantity surveying, project controlling, or similar roles
  • Solid understanding of project cost management concepts (budgeting, commitments, accruals, variations, forecasting, final accounts)
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
  • High attention to detail with a structured and accurate working style
  • Ability to communicate clearly with project managers, procurement, finance, and external partners
  • English proficiency sufficient for reading and writing cost and contract documentation
  • Experience in industrial, food, pharmaceutical, or biotech facilities
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with SAP or project cost management systems
  • Experience working in cross‑functional or international project environments
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under time pressure
