Key responsibilities & impact

Subject Matter Expert and Lead for: FSP, FDP and HACCP
Risk Analysis, Management and Mitigation
Root Cause Analysis and addressing deviations and non-conformances
Internal and external audit lead for the Madison site
Working knowledge and experience with FSSC 22000 or other GFSI-recognized scheme (e.g., SQF, BRC) and FSMA Preventive Controls, GMPs
Primary liaison between operational and quality teams ensuring cGMP compliance, appropriate hygienic design, sanitation effectiveness, allergen control, environmental monitoring
Serves as mentor for less senior QA specialists

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent in food science, microbiology, dairy science, biotechnology, engineering or related field.
Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in regulated environments in the food industry such as dairy and dietary supplements.
Previously responsible for authoring and maintaining FSP, FDP, HACCP, Risk Management
Expert understanding of the principles of food microbiology, chemistry and engineering
Certified as a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) for human food
