About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and evolve the Veeva Safety platform architecture, including Vault Safety configuration patterns, case-processing workflow design, and data flows across global and regional systems
- Take architectural ownership of the live Vault Safety platform, prioritise the improvement roadmap, resolve technical debt, and steer platform evolution
- Own the architectural integrity of safety-critical case data flows, including serious adverse event intake, product complaint-to-case triage, and case visibility across medical and communications channels
- Design and govern integrations between Vault Safety, enterprise systems, and adjacent Vaults using event-driven and interface-first patterns
- Provide active technical leadership to delivery teams working on safety Veeva products
- Review solution designs, guide configuration choices, challenge unnecessary complexity, and provide architectural direction
- Contribute to the Veeva Architecture & Projects architectural governance model, including Design Authority participation and authoring ADRs
- Apply structured SaaS governance and contribute safety domain patterns to shared Veeva standards
- Serve as the safety platform subject matter expert for global stakeholders
- Advise senior stakeholders on platform capabilities, roadmap implications, and emerging features including VeevaAI for safety use cases
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years' experience in IT architecture, including technical strategy, governance and platform design
- Demonstrated expertise architecting enterprise pharmacovigilance or safety case management platforms
- Direct Vault Safety experience is a plus, not a prerequisite
- Experience with the Veeva Vault platform is an asset
- Solid understanding of scalable cloud architectures and modern integration patterns, including APIs, event-based integrations, and data pipelines
- Proven ability to mentor senior colleagues, influence stakeholders, and solve complex cross-functional challenges
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance
