About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Defining and executing the long-term strategy for Translational & Clinical Omics
- Leading and developing a global organization of data scientists and senior leaders
- Delivering high-quality scientific insights that support translational and clinical development decisions
- Building scalable and reproducible analytical capabilities leveraging genomics, bioinformatics, AI, and computational biology
- Establishing strategic external collaborations and representing Novo Nordisk as a scientific thought leader
Requirements
What you’ll need- PhD or equivalent advanced degree in Bioinformatics, Statistical Genetics, Genomics, Computational Biology, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
- More than 10 years of relevant experience in computational biology, genomics, bioinformatics, machine learning, data science, or related disciplines
- Proven leadership experience, including leading managers and global scientific teams
- Deep expertise in areas such as translational omics, functional genomics, statistical genetics, bioinformatics, or systems biology
- Strong track record of delivering scalable and reproducible analytical solutions in complex environments
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and developing long-term scientific strategies
- Hands-on knowledge of programming and analysis tools such as Python and R, as well as cloud-based platforms
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience applying AI and machine learning to multi-omics, clinical trial, or real-world data
- Established external scientific profile with strong academic or industry collaborations
