Senior Development Engineer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Driving innovation by identifying and implementing new primary packaging technologies and solutions
- Leading development and continuous improvement of primary packaging systems
- Managing lifecycle activities, including technical assessments, investigations, and optimisation of marketed packaging solutions
- Acting as technical lead or Product/PrimPack Lead to coordinate stakeholders, manage risks
- Mentoring colleagues and contributing to capability development, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- A relevant degree (PhD, MSc, or BSc) with extensive experience in primary packaging, materials science, or a related technical discipline
- Strong experience in primary packaging development, lifecycle management, and technical problem solving
- Demonstrated ability to drive technical decisions, manage risk, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Expertise in areas such as container closure systems, material selection, supplier collaboration, or technical documentation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence, mentor, and build trust across teams
