About the role

  • Pioneer Novo Nordisk’s strategy for small molecule early safety assessment
  • Evaluate small molecule early safety evaluation based on in vitro/in vivo toxicology screening data
  • Supervise the execution of exploratory toxicology studies at CROs
  • Identify and secure optimal exploratory toxicology screening plans
  • Lead the Small Molecule Exploratory Toxicology Strategy Implementation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for drug discovery and development plans
  • Provide expert advisory functions on safety matters and mentor colleagues

Requirements

  • Master’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience, or PhD with 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven industry expertise in small molecule exploratory toxicology
  • Strong background with in vitro assays and in silico analysis
  • Experience with predictive toxicity SAR tools (e.g. DEREK)
  • Experience working with cross functional teams
  • Regulatory toxicology and understanding of ICH guidelines is advantageous
