About the role
- Lead pricing strategy and drive business development for Novo Nordisk across Egypt.
- Work closely with affiliate and regional teams to ensure the portfolio reaches patients while reflecting brand value.
- Drive strategic pricing - lead list and net pricing strategy, support innovative pricing and contracting initiatives, build quantitative models to assess price impacts, and provide recommendations for business planning cycles.
- Own pricing governance and compliance: chair the local pricing committee and ensure pricing documentation is current and compliant with healthcare rules.
- Develop reimbursement dossiers, value propositions, and health‑economic models for negotiations with authorities, payers, and purchasers.
- Identify, evaluate, and execute partnership opportunities — managing processes from scouting through contract execution.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support Market Access negotiations and operationalize deals across the cluster.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and reporting, and represent Novo Nordisk in pricing negotiations with authorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry with 5+ years in business development/licensing and/or pricing roles.
- Proven track record in Business Development and licensing within pharma or biotech in MENA, including deal execution and facilitating signatures.
- Hands‑on experience building reimbursement dossiers, value propositions and health economic models.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills; advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and data analysis.
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management and communication skills — able to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Deep understanding of the Egyptian healthcare ecosystem and regulatory landscape (mandated).
- Robust network across pharmaceutical companies and proven ability to influence cross‑functionally.
- Fluent in English; additional languages an advantage.
