Social Media Manager

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- You develop and manage our social media strategy on platforms such as Instagram and Facebook — from concept to publication.
- You create creative, audience-focused content (copy, image, video) and ensure a consistent brand voice across all channels.
- You take responsibility for community management: respond to comments and messages, maintain dialogue with our community, and actively build relationships.
- You plan and manage the content calendar and coordinate with internal teams as well as external service providers.
- You monitor trends, competitors and platform updates, and proactively introduce new ideas and formats.
- You analyze the performance of our channels using common tools and derive optimization measures.
Requirements
What you’ll need- You have a degree or vocational training in marketing, communications, media or a comparable qualification — or demonstrable professional experience.
- You have at least 2 years of experience in social media management and have independently managed channels.
- You have a strong sense for target audiences, trends and modern communication — and know what works on which platform.
- You are skilled in content creation: you write well, and you have basic knowledge of image and video editing (e.g. Canva, Adobe Suite, CapCut).
- You work in a structured and independent way and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Native-level German skills, both written and spoken, are required; good English skills are a plus.
- You are communicative, creative and enjoy actively shaping a community.
