About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive product pull-through in targeted Priority Accounts and Affiliated Healthcare Systems within the cardiovascular brand portfolio
- Develop and implement strategic business plans for identified top Priority Accounts and Affiliated Healthcare Systems
- Build relationships with administrative decision makers and clinical, operational, and financial partners
- Optimize pathways, transitions of care, treatment protocols, and workflow enablement
- Conduct periodic customer needs assessments and communicate tailored insights and activities
- Identify and enable injection locations suitable to account archetype and pathway
- Work with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to integrate workflow and EMR
- Apply knowledge of inpatient and outpatient billable reimbursement, market economics, access models, payment programs, and industry trends
- Maintain awareness of Novartis price offerings and inform account administrators
- Create and maintain targeted institutional-specific business plans
- Anticipate and address business opportunities and challenges using disease-state, marketplace, competitor, industry, and cross-functional expertise
- Provide product and disease-state presentations to physicians and their staff
- Lead cross-functional teams to create, implement, and update business plans
- Support cross-functional team members in identifying business opportunities and diagnosing implementation issues
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required from a 4-year college or university
- 5+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or similarly structured industries
- 2+ years’ experience in specialty buy-and-bill
- 2+ years’ experience managing complex accounts, including major academic centers and hospitals
- Extensive understanding of the cardiovascular community
- Strong therapeutic-area and product knowledge
- Proven capability to collaborate across functions in a matrix environment
- Experience developing strategic account plans aligned with customer and organizational objectives
- Extensive customer and cross-functional expertise
- Understanding of the healthcare ecosystem and strong business acumen
- Proficiency in technology and digital engagement
- Must reside within the territory or within a reasonable daily commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory border
- Ability to travel 60–80% over a broad geography
- Ability to drive and/or fly within the territory
- Valid, fully valid, and unrestricted driver’s license required
- Experience calling on assigned cardiovascular accounts is desirable
- Experience in two different types of cross-functional roles is desirable
- Must comply with customer credentialing guidelines, which may require COVID-19 vaccination
- Company will not sponsor visas for this position
