About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the enterprise strategy and roadmap for Precision Health advanced capabilities and EMR informatics across therapeutic areas
  • Drive prioritization of capability investments through governance processes and cross-functional alignment
  • Develop frameworks to assess solutions and partnerships based on value, feasibility, scalability, risk, and sustainability
  • Partner with external vendors and ecosystem stakeholders to evaluate, select, and advance site-of-care solutions
  • Identify unmet needs and translate field and market insights into problem statements and technology-enabled solutions
  • Lead the design, piloting, evaluation, and scaling of decision-support and site-of-care solutions
  • Define success metrics, monitor performance, and recommend expansion, refinement, or discontinuation
  • Anticipate trends and identify opportunities that strengthen Novartis’ competitive differentiation
  • Synthesize customer, field, analytics, and market insights to identify care gaps and workflow barriers
  • Lead or support external scouting to source solutions and partners
  • Connect Precision Health, Medical, Commercial, Market Access, Data and Digital, Legal, Compliance, Procurement, and external partners
  • Define KPIs and build business cases for scalable, repeatable initiatives
  • Leverage AI tools to streamline tasks, generate content, and support decision-making
  • Lead development of informatics-enabled approaches to accelerate clinical trials through collaboration with provider research informatics teams, EHR vendors, and real-world data partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in healthcare, pharma, diagnostics, health informatics, or technology
  • 3+ years’ experience in digital health business development role(s)
  • Experience in project management, technology partnerships, and third-party data partnerships
  • Experience with clinical decision support, diagnostic or technology partnership alliances, and therapeutic delivery
  • Proven track record meeting objectives through cross-functional partnerships across therapeutic areas
  • Experience in strategy and operations, training, external partnerships and/or BD&L, and customer solutions/customer experience
  • Strong data literacy
  • Strategic and responsible digital and AI-enabled thinking
  • Practical fluency in prompting, interpreting, and refining AI outputs
  • People leadership experience preferred
