About the role

  • Lead a therapeutic area focused team in creating and updating a holistic enterprise portfolio strategy
  • Maintain knowledge of early pipeline to commercial within the cardio-renal-metabolic (CRM) TA
  • Facilitate portfolio decision making and prioritization with key stakeholders
  • Develop and oversee assessments of programs fit to current portfolio strategy
  • Coach, attract, develop, and retain top talent

Requirements

  • Advanced degree or equivalent experience in life science/healthcare
  • Minimum 10 years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience
  • Demonstrated cross‑functional global leadership experience
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a highly matrixed, fast paced environment
  • Ability to engage with the C-suite and mid-career associates
  • Strong financial and business acumen
  • Excellent communication, consensus building, influencing, and negotiation skills
  • Experience leading and managing a team with insights from science to commercial
