About the role

  • Responsible for ensuring the application and processing architectures, data dictionaries, and database schemas meet department standards for data requirements and GIS Services.
  • Assist in the design, development, amendments and optimization of the schema to meet system(s) requirements.
  • Work as part of a team to assist in developing an overall data architecture that supports the Department’s needs.
  • Develop and maintain database administration procedures and documentation.
  • Conduct database performance monitoring and tuning.
  • Perform SQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL Code reviews.
  • Assist with training/mentoring other technical staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field.
  • Must have five (5) years combined experience in database administration.
  • Must have experience with GIS and spatial databases (specifically PostgreSQL and Oracle).
  • Must have experience SQL Server 2012 and above.
  • Must have experience Oracle 19c and above.
  • Experience with managing ArcGIS for Server, ArcGIS Enterprise, and cloud-hosted GIS services (e.g., ArcGIS Online, Azure GIS integrations).
  • Experience with Azure SQL is a plus.
