About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop a deep understanding of business, customers, products, and processes
- Use skills to develop new products and product enhancements
- Improve brand name by advancing technology and reliability of products
- Integrate into a talented team responsible for key product lines
- Contribute to new concepts, product design reviews, and drive execution of technical tasks
- Field Testing and Design Validation of products
- Work closely with designers and engineers to create product documentation
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Ability to model dynamic system responses using classical or numerical methods
- Proficient in Solidworks or Creo (Pro-E)
- Ability to read, interpret, and draft drawings in accordance with ASME Y14 Standards
- Familiarity with GD&T
- Experience in design for manufacturing processes including machining, sheet metal fabrication, castings, welding, and assembly
- Skilled using commercial FEA for structural analysis and modeling (Creo Simulation, SolidWorks Simulation, or Ansys Mechanical)
- Flow/Thermal Analysis experience with CFDesign or similar is beneficial
