About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the firm’s learning and development initiatives and programs for the US lawyers and employees
  • Focus on planning, tailoring, and delivering professional skills training programs
  • Develop and implement approaches to enhance the skills of partners, lawyers, and business service professional employees
  • Design and deliver performance development and business skills learning and programs
  • Develop, administer and deliver US training programs, live and virtual
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts regarding program content
  • Work with Directors, C-level leaders, and Team Leaders to monitor progress and identify developmental needs
  • Manage professional development programs from design to implementation
  • Update program content for relevance
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology and AI for efficiencies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience in learning and development, classroom training, organizational development, or legal industry roles
  • In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, 9 years of relevant experience in learning and development, classroom training, organizational development, or legal industry roles
  • At least 1 year of direct people-management experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; intermediate in PowerPoint preferred
  • Familiar with use of online presentation platforms (Microsoft Teams or Zoom)
  • Experience with a Learning Management System preferred
  • Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively
  • Excellent client service skills
  • Strong organization and time management/project management skills
  • Integrity and good judgment when handling confidential information
  • Ability to identify and analyze issues and problems, recommend and implement solutions
