About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Answer client and Financial Representative questions in a call center environment
  • Provide servicing options and assist clients with products and services
  • Resolve basic, intermediate, and complex registered-area inquiries and transactions
  • Research complex problems, identify root causes, and resolve escalations
  • Promote client retention and identify opportunities for relationship building
  • Refer matters to the field for follow-up when appropriate
  • Take ownership of calls and anticipate future issues to reduce repeat calls and transfers
  • De-escalate client situations and guide clients through complex inquiries
  • Advocate for Financial Representatives and partner with them to meet client needs
  • Educate clients and field personnel about website and self-service capabilities
  • Assess transaction risks and impacts on clients or policies
  • Explain system limits and capabilities
  • Lead others through organizational change
  • Handle phone and transactional responsibilities while maintaining confidentiality and privacy
  • Coach, mentor, or train others as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate degree in business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of related customer service experience with proven customer service skills
  • Expert knowledge of investment or income products or markets, including VA, VL, VUL, Retirement, and Business markets
  • Expert understanding of tax implications
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and handle high-volume calls/caseload accurately
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Strong desire to continuously learn and improve
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide options
  • Demonstrated computer experience, solid keyboarding skills, and proficiency with current software packages
  • Must be classified as a Registered Representative under NMIS guidelines and complete fingerprinting
  • Series 63 – FINRA required
  • Series 7 – FINRA required
  • SIE – FINRA required
