About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a trusted business advisor to commercial banking clients and provide banking solutions aligned with their financial objectives
  • Develop and expand existing commercial banking relationships
  • Prospect for and bring in new relationships to Northwest
  • Engage product partners on cross-selling and referral opportunities
  • Achieve and exceed assigned individual and regional budget goals
  • Participate in community and professional networking events
  • Establish and maintain Centers of Influence relationships
  • Maintain prospect lists and calling and meeting schedules for prospects, clients, and COIs
  • Encourage client referrals and personal banking relationships at Northwest
  • Manage a commercial loan portfolio of credit and noncredit clients
  • Make loan presentations and recommendations to Credit, team leaders, and senior line-of-business managers
  • Partner with Credit and Portfolio Management on annual reviews and line-of-credit renewals
  • Ensure noncredit clients have appropriate treasury management and related commercial services
  • Collect on delinquent accounts as required
  • Analyze financial statements and credit materials to monitor client performance and assess risk
  • Complete loan closings with Portfolio Management
  • Maintain current financial statements, agency reports, and other credit-file documentation
  • Participate in sales, product, and credit training
  • Ensure compliance with Northwest policies, procedures, and federal/state regulations
  • Use Microsoft Office, department software, and computer applications efficiently
  • Work as part of a team and complete special projects as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Marketing preferred
  • 6–8 years of account relationship management experience preferred
  • 6–8 years of consistently delivering strong sales performance preferred
  • Ability to analyze financial statements and related credit materials
  • Knowledge of commercial lending, credit quality, risk management, and loan portfolios
  • Ability to make loan presentations and recommendations
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office and department-specific computer applications
  • Ability to comply with bank policies, procedures, and federal/state regulations
  • Ability to work with on-site equipment
  • Ability to work as part of a team
