About the role
- As the PSS lead, you will be responsible for leading the systems engineering execution as the main focal point for the C&L product team for C2 PSS.
- You will be expected to manage the day to day operations of the PSS Integrated Node team.
- You will be responsible for leading the implementation of the processes dictating requirements development, verification activities, use cases, and architecture development.
- You will work with both the C2 and C&L Product Development teams to develop and mature systems engineering content and artifacts using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methods.
- You will oversee and manage the PSS team and lead the coordination and collaboration across the diverse C&L engineering design teams to manage the technical baseline.
- You will have opportunities to present at milestone reviews to program leadership and to the customer.
- You will be expected to proactively coordinate with various teams to develop, document, and maintain design solutions.
- The selected candidate will also be responsible for a Systems Engineering discipline Section within the SDS Systems Engineering organization and will report directly to an SDS Systems Engineering Department Manager.
- You will provide career mentorship and operational support to a Functional Home Room (FHR) team (Section) of between 8 and 12 Individual Contributors (ICs) based on Engineering goals, objectives, and company policy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 8 years of related experience
- Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application
- Experience managing people preferred
- Master's degree in Engineering
- Experience with ICBM systems
- Previous experience leading technical teams
- General understanding of NG Engineering Processes
- Experience in training and mentoring junior engineers
- Experience in MBSE methodology
- Experience with Agile framework
- Minimum 1 year of demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- 1 year of experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles and application or as a Cost Account Manager (CAM)
- Outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- At the time of application a current and within scope Sentinel Special Access Program (SAP)
