About the role
- Support Program tasks and attend meetings
- Maintain Configuration Management Command Media, Work Instructions and perform updates as required
- Perform CDM metrics on a recurring basis and support Program prep meetings
- Perform Engineering Release activities for the F-35 Composite Structure Definition IPT including Build-To-Package (BTP), Source Control Drawings (SCD), Tech Packages, and ESCR approvals
- Create BTP, SCD, Tech packages and associated supporting engineering business items and data; execute BTP/SCD lifecycle (workflow), approval and formal engineering release
- Ensure a Fully Linked Integrated Engineering Bill-of-Material (EBOM) on all engineering releases using TeamCenter Enterprise and TeamCenter Unified (AeroSource)
- Provide assistance and support to other F-35 IPT teams requiring Configuration Management assistance
- Support audits, update procedures, and communicate effectively
- Collaborate and coordinate with Technical Leads in preparation, processing, and release of engineering documentation through the release process
- Plan and coordinate preparation of project documentation such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications
- Analyze proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system and coordinate modification records
- Establish change orders and prepare for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor
- Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinate changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree +2 years (Level 2) OR Master's degree +0 years (Level 2) OR High School Diploma +4 years relevant experience (Level 2)
- Bachelor's degree +5 years (Principal Level 3) OR Master's degree +3 years (Level 3) OR additional 4 years experience (9 years) in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree (Level 3)
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance; OR DoE equivalent
- Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period of time
- Prior experience in Configuration Management or equivalent
- Technical knowledge and practice in design, analysis, or on-aircraft experience with Subsystems, Composites, or Metallic Structures
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience with TeamCenter Enterprise and TeamCenter Unified (AeroSource)
- Ability to support audits, update procedures, and communicate effectively and clearly
- Meticulous attention to detail while maintaining control over all documents in flow
- Experience with Lean concepts (preferred)
- Experience managing change boards or performing configuration status accounting (preferred)
- Experience with Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing and Test documentation (preferred)
- Knowledge of EIA-649, National Consensus Standard for Configuration Management (preferred)
- Existing DoD security clearance (Secret or above) preferred
- Government Contracts experience (preferred)
- U.S. Citizenship required for positions with a government clearance
