About the role
- Implement and manage system requirements
- Revises and manages both original and revised specification/interface definition document and expedites documents through approval process
- Provides data to risk management (identifies potential risks) and trade study processes
- Supports system design, data analyses, interface verification, testing, failure/anomaly resolution and automation efforts
- Supports the testing and/or evaluation/validation of one or more components of a system or subsystem analytical model or actual system implementation
- Attends and prepares materials for presentation during Preliminary Design Review, Final Design Review, Deployment Readiness Review and Release Review
- Supports trade studies, system sensitivity studies, design optimization studies, system performance assessments, system design assessments, mission analysis and timelines and concept of operations development
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment supporting an Integrated Product Team
Requirements
- Must have, at minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in STEM Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a STEM-related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD in a related STEM discipline with 1 year of relevant work experience
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience working in Systems Engineering or in Integration Design
- Understanding of requirements and basic principles of verification strategies
- Exposure to and familiarity with MBSE approaches and tools (Cameo, Doors, etc.) and some exposure to MBSE languages (SysML or UML) are required
- Experience with interface management between system elements and teams
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
