About the role
- Develop and manage comprehensive internal export controls to ensure compliance with US and foreign regulations in the conduct of international marketing, sales, supply chain and other business activities.
- Establish business processes for submitting to and obtaining from the US government all necessary export and import licenses, permits, certifications, and technology release determinations.
- Establish operational processes for assuring trade compliance through gate reviews for technical data, foreign travel, foreign visits and export and import shipments.
- Conduct contract and proposal reviews and provides appropriate guidance and licensing strategy.
- Maintain applicable trade compliance records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Support law department in investigating and resolving compliance problems, questions, or complaints.
- Participate in cross-functional and/or cross sector working groups and projects as assigned.
- Provide training as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Level 2: Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant professional experience in export compliance – OR – Master’s degree with 1+ years of relevant professional experience in export compliance.
- Level 3: Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant professional experience in export compliance – OR – Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant professional experience in export compliance.
- Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and other US Government Regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior management.
- Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal guidance and supervision.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
- US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
