About the role

  • Lead engineering and technical support across all UK LAIRCM programmes, ensuring rapid, proactive resolution of field engineering issues
  • Manage, mentor and support Field Service Engineers, including overseeing day‑to‑day tasking and participation in on‑call support when required
  • Coordinate communication between UK and US programme teams, customer engineering authorities, the Chester site and other key stakeholders
  • Oversee the collation, management and presentation of technical data from field service activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with customers, identifying opportunities for collaboration and improved service delivery
  • Support Chester site operations, assist with technical investigations, deliver training when needed and uphold safe working practices

Requirements

  • Experience in an engineering support or field service leadership role, ideally with knowledge of LAIRCM or a similar system
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SC security clearance
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and professionally
  • A valid UK driving licence and passport
  • Ability to work flexibly under pressure, representing Northrop Grumman UK confidently in fast‑paced, customer‑focused environments
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook and Excel.
