Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr. Staff Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will support the Sentinel program in the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division. This position is located in Manhattan Beach, CA, Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. The Sentinel program has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join the team supporting activities including use case development, requirements definition / allocation, functional decomposition, interface definition, verification & validation, and requirements traceability. What You’ll Get to Do Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop supporting systems engineering and design artifacts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 14 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 12 years of experience with Master's degree, 10 years of experience with PhD. Requires U.S. Citizenship with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years. Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs Requires 8 years of experience implementing and using model-based systems engineering tools, practices, and methods. Requires 5 years of experience demonstrating strong program execution skills; demonstrated ability to meet program technical, cost, and schedule milestones. Requires 5 years of experience demonstrating strong partnership/collaboration skills. Demonstrated ability to partner cross-IPT/cross-discipline within a team. Requires 4 years of experience with one or more of the following: C2, physical security, cybersecurity, communications systems, facility design, military aerospace development . Preferred Qualifications Active DoD Top Secret Clearance ICBM experience
