About the role

  • support the management of program financials including cash flow analysis, working capital, accounts receivable forecasting, unbilled analysis, invoice tracking, funding analysis, profitability
  • support monthly/quarterly financial reviews, risk analysis, funding analysis and ad-hoc reporting
  • prepare and provide weekly/monthly analytical reports to support cost variance/trend analysis
  • lead and support the development of the consolidated Long Range Strategic Plan (LRSP) and Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
  • collaborate cross-functionally to develop strategies to improve financial performance based on metrics
  • support the development of presentations for, and brief to leadership at various levels
  • support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance requirements
  • provide strategic guidance as required; develop and implement solutions of moderate scope and complexity
  • analyze variances/trends and develop new methods and process techniques
  • work under minimal supervision while completing various assignments per schedule and elevating potential issues to ensure proper management focus
  • provide training to other analysts
  • lead, develop and implement efficiencies with focus on standardized template development for monthly forecasting and AOP/LRSP data collection and consolidation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of Finance, Accounting, and/or Business-related experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of stated experience
  • Candidates will have experience with financial analysis of traditional financial metrics (Awards, Acquisitions, Sales, Operating Margin, ROS%, Cash)
  • Experience with SAP, IBM Cognos software, COBRA
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business-related discipline (preferred)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (preferred)
  • Expertise in financial analysis (preferred)
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to make recommendations and provide guidance to effectively drive projects to completion (preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple activities concurrently (preferred)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and keen attention to detail (preferred)
  • Knowledge of EVMS/FAR/DFARS (preferred)
