About the role

  • Sources and procures specialized material goods and services including Consultant services
  • Manages and develops strategic/key suppliers
  • Owns contractual management for the Supplier and coordinates with key stakeholders
  • Responsible for source selection from contract proposal to execution phases
  • Assists with subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions
  • Prepares bid packages, analyzes proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions
  • Evaluates Supplier quality and reliability
  • Identifies strategies to reduce cost and improve efficiency
  • Manages performance of subcontracts and ensures compliance
  • Reviews and approves payments for services
  • Contributes to learning and development of Global Supply Chain
  • Supports contract surveillance activities as directed by Supply Chain Compliance

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with at least 6 years of related experience
  • Will consider 2 years of experience with a bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 1 year of progressive domestic and/or international subcontracts/procurement/contracts experience
  • Ability to collaborate with program management and other multi-functional teams
  • Ability to multi-task and make decisions in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
  • SAP experience (preferred)
  • Government contract knowledge and/or experience (preferred)
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (preferred)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance (preferred)
