About the role

  • Manage a team of individual contributors supporting multiple programs within SDS.
  • Provide performance feedback, training, mentoring, and coaching to employees.
  • Support workforce planning and maintain sufficient depth and breadth of skillsets within the team's core discipline.
  • Responsible for employee performance reviews and supporting employee career development.
  • Support development and refinement of processes and tools that support business areas and programs.
  • Provide technical support to SDS programs ensuring integration and effective collaboration with design teams.
  • Collaborate with electrical, components, manufacturing, and other engineering disciplines to support the design of weapon systems.
  • Perform risk analysis, trade studies, process improvement analysis, cost estimates, etc.
  • Track tasking and assignments for the team, assist with workload balancing, collect metrics, and perform project management functions as applicable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of related experience; master's degree and 6 years’ experience or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Must have U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain an interim Secret Security level clearance pre-start, with the ability to obtain a final Secret Security level clearance post-start.
  • Experience maintaining part libraries or modeling component parts in a CAD tools/ product lifecycle management systems
  • Experience using NX, Teamcenter, Xpedition, Siemens Capital, or equivalent CAD/PLM tool suites
  • Experience working with ASME, IPC or other industry standards and specifications
  • Experience in military/space equipment design or manufacturing
  • Experience working with military or industry component part specifications or standards.
