Environmental Development Manager
NorthPoint DevelopmentEnvironmental Development Manager responsible for planning and managing environmental due diligence for NorthPoint Development. Focusing on properties for industrial, data center, and multifamily uses across the US.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Critically review environmental reports to assess properties environmental conditions and compliance status
- Develop environmental investigation and remediation work scopes with environmental consultants
- Support property transaction decisions regarding environmental liabilities and risks
- Interface with regulatory agencies and other stakeholders
- Advise construction teams on appropriate protocols for earthwork and site-worker safety
- Assist in developing budgetary estimates of environmental-related costs
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in environmental due diligence on brownfield properties
- Experience designing and managing environmental investigation programs for soil, groundwater, surface water, soil vapor, and sediments
- Knowledge of emerging contaminants including PFAS/PFOS
- Familiarity with CERCLA, RCRA, state voluntary cleanup, etc.
- Developing soil-management and corrective-measures implementation plans
- Evaluating, designing and installation of vapor intrusion mitigation systems
- Managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of current environmental regulatory programs pertaining to data center development
