About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee and lead the audit validation activities as part of the Northern Trust’s Risk and Control Enhancement transformation program
  • Oversee and manage all audit activities within assigned areas of responsibility
  • Establish an effective risk-based audit program
  • Complete risk assessments, propose changes to the audit universe and propose audit plan, including coverage and timing
  • Develop and maintain continuous monitoring activities to keep abreast of changes in the business Units and corporate functions and to continue partnering with key stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 12+ years of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Operational Risk Management (ORM) experience
  • Advanced compliance regulation knowledge
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Effective business writing and presentations
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory rules and industry changes
  • Experience of transformation programs and auditing Enterprise, Operational and Compliance Risk Management activities
