About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, implement, and maintain advanced analytics models using data science and AI/ML techniques
  • Collaborate with investment professionals to identify analytical opportunities and communicate insights
  • Analyze large and complex financial datasets to extract actionable insights
  • Build, validate, and optimize predictive models for growth, risk management, and efficiency
  • Shepard the AI/ML models through various validation and governance committees
  • Stay abreast of trends in AI/ML, data engineering, and investment analytics
  • Partner with IT and Data Engineering teams for data integrity and scalable analytics infrastructure
  • Present complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Mentor and guide junior analytics team members

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or a closely related field
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience applying advanced data science and AI/ML techniques within asset management or investment management environments
  • Strong understanding of portfolio management, asset allocation, and risk assessment practices
  • Proficiency in programming languages and analytics tools such as Python, R, SQL, and modern machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)
  • Hands-on skills on platforms such as Azure, Snowflake, Databricks and Power BI
  • Experience working with large, complex financial datasets
  • Up-to-date knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in AI/ML, data engineering, and investment analytics
  • Excellent communication skills
