Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate care for patients and their families in a PreOp PACU setting
- Provide direct patient care, patient and family education, and discharge planning
- Assess patient health information, needs, and conditions
- Identify outcomes and develop individualized plans of care
- Implement care plans to achieve expected outcomes
- Assess patient progress and revise diagnoses, outcomes, and plans of care as appropriate
- Provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered care
- Respect patient privacy and treat patients, families, guests, and associates with dignity, respect, and compassion
- Evaluate patient conditions frequently and adapt the plan of care
- Provide leadership for ancillary personnel as a team leader and preceptor
- Participate actively as a member of the healthcare team
- Practice within ANA scope of practice, ANA Code of Ethics, and specialty standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Registered Nurse role requiring practice within the ANA Scope of Practice
- Practice consistent with the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses
- Practice according to the standards of the nurse’s specialty
- Ability to coordinate patient and family care
- Ability to provide direct patient care, education, and discharge planning
- Ability to assess patients, identify outcomes, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate results
- Ability to lead ancillary personnel, serve as a team leader, and act as a preceptor
