Oversee development and execution of simulation-based training programs for healthcare professionals, including curriculum design, scenario development, and learner assessment.
Evaluate, implement, and maintain simulation equipment, software, and virtual platforms to support training initiatives.
Work closely with clinical educators, faculty, physicians, nurses, and healthcare administrators to integrate simulation into educational and operational strategies.
Conduct simulation sessions, including running high-fidelity manikins, standardized patient programs, and task trainers.
Identify opportunities to enhance effectiveness of simulation programs, incorporating feedback and data-driven insights.
Oversee budgeting, procurement, and maintenance of simulation equipment and resources.
Adhere to regulatory and organizational standards affecting patient care and safety; maintain certifications and complete required training.
Maintain timely and accurate documentation, report safety-related incidents, and participate in safety-related training.
Requirements
Bachelor’s required in Healthcare Simulation, Nursing, Medicine, Healthcare Administration, Education, or a related field.
Master’s degree preferred in Healthcare Simulation, Nursing, Medicine, Healthcare Administration, Education, or a related field.
Certification in healthcare simulation (e.g., CHSE, CHSOS) - Preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare simulation, medical education, or clinical training.
Proficiency with simulation equipment (e.g., Laerdal, CAE, SimMan, Gaumard), virtual simulation platforms, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Project management experience in program management, curriculum development, and evaluation of training outcomes; Agile or traditional methodologies a plus.
Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to engage diverse healthcare professionals and lead simulation teams.
Experience in interprofessional education and team-based healthcare training.
Knowledge of emerging technologies in healthcare simulation such as VR/AR and AI-driven simulation models.
Experience in securing grants or funding for simulation programs.
