Plan, coordinate, and manage assimilation of new software applications into NAH Health IT environment.
Determine systemic needs, recommend changes, implement new software solutions and instruct users about domain strategy and interfaces.
Monitor system efficiency, update current software to correct errors, and support software system installation.
Lead strategic design and support execution of Cerner domain strategy, regulatory adherence, code/package management, optimization, standardization and upgrades.
Provide operational oversight of Cerner relationship, co-lead resource allocation, road mapping and Cerner project planning.
Develop and execute Cerner Code Release management strategies, testing strategies, implementation procedures and guidelines.
Recommend, develop and execute changes in Cerner code development, business processes, operational maintenance, and system standards.
Collaborate with leaders to ensure technical and application team alignments; support and mentor IT Analysts.
Coordinate project management activities: develop strategies, work plans, scope control, identify project resources, and technical/clinical road mapping.
Provide oversight and risk mitigation for interface activities with technical and foreign systems; serve as production and non-production owner.
Lead Cerner change control ensuring processes are in place and executed; act as escalation point between NAH and Cerner for troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Serve as subject matter expert for integration of third party systems and medical devices with Cerner.
Maintain knowledge of hospital operations, associated technologies, and Health Information Exchange for ambulatory and hospital data integration.
Requirements
Associates Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or closely related field - required.
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or closely related field - or add 10 years of additional experience.
Cerner Fundamentals and application education - Required within 6 months of hire.
Professional Certifications (2 preferred): Certifications that portray advanced level of proficiency relevant to the job responsibilities.
Minimum 10 years as Cerner Integration Architect - Preferred
Minimum 7 years knowledge and experience working with Cerner Millennium solutions - Preferred
Minimum 5 years experience - Preferred
Equivalent work experience with a healthcare IT department - Preferred
