About the role
- Own full project lifecycle delivery for MSP engagements, including client onboarding, infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, security initiatives, and service transitions.
- Create and maintain project artifacts directly, including charters, schedules, RAID logs, budgets, and status reports.
- Actively manage day-to-day execution, task tracking, dependencies, and technical deliverables.
- Drive accountability across engineering, service desk, vendors, and third-party partners.
- Deliver projects across distributed teams and time zones using remote collaboration tools.
- Ensure seamless handoff from project delivery to steady-state managed services operations.
- Maintain strict alignment with SLAs, OLAs, and contractual commitments.
- Identify and resolve delivery blockers quickly in a remote environment.
- Serve as the primary client-facing lead for all assigned projects.
- Run remote kickoff meetings, technical workshops, and executive status reviews.
- Proactively manage expectations, risks, and issues while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and margin expectations.
- Control scope through formal change management processes.
- Identify, document, and mitigate risks and issues; escalate when appropriate with clear recommendations.
- Use and optimize MSP and PM tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, MS Project, or similar.
- Apply Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies pragmatically based on delivery needs.
- Continuously improve project delivery processes, templates, and playbooks for remote execution.
- Mentor less-experienced project managers through example and delivery leadership.
Requirements
- 12+ years of hands-on project management experience in an MSP or IT services environment.
- Demonstrated success delivering projects independently in remote settings.
- Strong technical understanding of: IT infrastructure (networking, servers, storage)
- Cloud platforms (AWS)
- Proven experience managing multiple concurrent client projects.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification.
- ITIL v3/v4 certification.
- Agile / Scrum certification.
- Experience supporting pre-sales, RFPs, and SOW development.
- Advanced proficiency with remote collaboration and PM tools.
