About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Supports both the Red Salmon and Pederson Point plants
Processing vendor invoices
Responding to and researching vendor accounts payable inquiries
Entering purchase orders
Compiling and reconciling end of month vendor statements
Assisting with end of season fisherman statements/accounting
Reviews invoices and categorizes expenses
Prepares invoices to be processed in the AP system
Sorts payables for payment
Researches and communicates vendor inquiries
Files and maintains accounting documents (invoices, checks, ACH remits etc.)
Assists in month end vendor statement reconciliation
Assists with fisherman accounting
Answering office phone
Answering in-office questions from fisherman and visitors etc.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need

18+ years old
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Basic understanding of Accounts Payable (we can train).
Must have excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to effectively communicate via email (outlook).
Self-motivated and quality focused.
Ability to compute basic math.
Ability to work 12 hours per day, seven days per week, with additional hours during peak seasons.
Ability to work well independently and with others.
Ability to maintain professional composure in high stress work environment.
Willingness to work in an office setting in a seafood processing plant.
Consistent and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
Seafood production experience preferred.
