About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, mentor, train, and support a team of locum recruiters, including onboarding, coaching, performance management, and ongoing development
  • Manage the full lifecycle locum recruitment process for physician and CRNA staffing needs while maintaining individual recruiting production goals
  • Partner with locum agencies, staffing vendors, regional leadership, and hospital stakeholders to support provider placements and staffing priorities
  • Monitor recruiter productivity, recruiting activity, and staffing progress to ensure team goals and service expectations are achieved
  • Oversee the locum placement process from candidate presentation through onboarding and assignment start dates
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with providers, vendors, and internal stakeholders while ensuring a high level of customer service and responsiveness
  • Utilize Vendor Management Systems (VMS), applicant tracking systems, and recruiting platforms to manage candidate activity and placements
  • Collaborate with credentialing, operations, and compliance teams to support successful provider placements and timely onboarding
  • Provide regular updates regarding recruiting activity, staffing challenges, market trends, and active placements to leadership
  • Support continuous improvement efforts within the recruiting team and staffing process

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of healthcare recruiting experience required
  • Previous locum tenens recruiting experience required
  • Anesthesia recruiting experience preferred
  • Previous leadership, mentoring, or team lead experience preferred
  • Experience working within a healthcare staffing or locum tenens environment preferred
  • Experience utilizing Vendor Management Systems (VMS), applicant tracking systems, and recruiting technologies required
