About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supervise, train, and mentor service technicians through goal setting, performance monitoring, reviews, and formal training
  • Optimize technician schedules based on competencies, experience, and project requirements
  • Support diagnostics and repair of controls hardware and associated mechanical and electrical systems
  • Review work orders, blueprints, schematic diagrams, and related materials for commissioning or rework
  • Manage challenging jobs to minimize customer impact and company cost
  • Coordinate with building owners, contractors, engineers, and servicing contractors
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve complex field design problems
  • Provide superior service to internal and external customers
  • Advise leadership on customer satisfaction, product performance, and product improvements
  • Own end-to-end delivery, schedule adherence, quality, and customer outcomes across assigned hyperscaler sites
  • Forecast staffing and resource demand, request headcount and materials, and prevent coverage gaps
  • Maintain relationships with facility managers, chief engineers, operations teams, program management, contractors, and cluster leadership
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues alongside technicians in the field

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum technical associate degree with two years of field experience, or four years of equivalent related field experience in HVAC, building automation, or a technical environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of critical infrastructure, automatic controls, building automation systems, or other building subsystems
  • 4+ years of experience supervising teams
  • Technical experience with HVAC/air handling equipment and personally driving issue resolution
  • Ability to plan, request, and manage staffing and resources across multiple sites
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to job sites or factories
  • Superior analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals
  • Ability to support multiple teams across various data center projects
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and drive results across teams in a timely manner
  • Preferred: proven project management skills
  • Preferred: strong administrative experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree with four years of field experience or six years of equivalent related field experience in HVAC or building automation
