About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, coach, and develop a team of fabrication professionals, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Plan and execute production schedules to meet customer requirements while optimizing labor, equipment, and materials.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, and other departments to improve workflows and efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards by monitoring output, conducting inspections, and driving corrective actions.
- Identify and implement process improvements, including Lean initiatives, to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Promote and enforce safety standards, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
- Track and report key performance metrics, maintaining accurate production records and providing insights to leadership.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fabrication or manufacturing environments
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership or managerial experience
- Demonstrated leadership and team development capabilities
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, equipment, and materials
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Experience implementing safety programs and quality control systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience optimizing plant layout and manufacturing flow
- Knowledge of production sequencing and tooling design processes
- Familiarity with process testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Ability to collaborate with engineering teams on product and process design
- Understanding of regulatory compliance in manufacturing environments
