Maintenance and Local Substation Electrician I
Norsk HydroElectrician role focusing on maintenance of industrial electrical equipment at Albras, a major aluminum producer in Brazil. Ensure operational efficiency and reliability through preventive and corrective maintenance.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial electrical equipment, including overhead cranes, hydraulic units, Atlas Copco compressors and pneumatic systems
- Diagnose and repair faults in electrical equipment, process instruments, electrical circuits and power distribution systems
- Carry out calibration, testing and adjustments on measurement and control instruments, ensuring process reliability
- Read, interpret and create electrical diagrams, identifying improvement opportunities and supporting equipment maintenance
- Implement modifications and adjustments in automation systems and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), ensuring operational efficiency
- Evaluate, repair or replace electrical and instrumentation components, conducting functional tests after interventions
- Record maintenance activities, post Work Orders via SAP and report relevant incidents to support management and continuous improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed technical education in Electrical, Electrotechnics or Industrial Automation
- NR-10 certification
- Active CFT registration
- Experience in maintenance of overhead cranes
- Experience in Instrumentation and Industrial Automation
- Knowledge of PLC maintenance
- Advanced knowledge of electrical controls
- Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of 5S
- Availability to work in shifts
- Valid driver's license (category B or higher)
