QA Technician
Norsk HydroQA Technician ensuring product specifications in aluminium production at Hydro. Performing sample testing and supporting quality engineers for compliance and process enhancements.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform duties to test product samples to ensure that customer and company product specifications are achieved
- Contribute recommendations to the development of process improvements
- Maintain workflow and adhere to company policies and procedures
- Ensure to perform required testing on all the material for welded tube
- Record production test results in computer database system and make tags and labels
- Follow proper MRT procedures for any material out of specs
- Perform sample preparation for test measurements
- Conduct gauge repeatability studies and capability studies as per requirement
- Support Quality Engineer for collecting measurements data for PPAP approvals and Annual dimensional layout
- Audit product characteristics and production processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Excellent knowledge of HAR quality standards
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent mathematics skills, especially algebra, geometry, basic statistics and SPC
- Basic understanding of metallurgy
- Ability to read blueprints, geometric tolerancing, and dimensioning
- Strong analytical, problem solving skills
- Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of process related standards.
- Proven ability to develop successful partnerships with internal and external team members.
