Legal Intern
Norsk HydroLegal Intern at Hydro drafting and reviewing contracts and assisting in legal matters in the United States. Engaging with a dynamic in-house legal team to address compliance risks.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Draft, review and negotiate a broad variety of contracts dealing with our customers and suppliers including non-disclosure agreements, supply agreements and consulting agreements.
- Gather and prepare information necessary to resolve disputes, draft demand letters and handle subpoenas.
- Partner with in-house attorneys on more complex litigation matters.
- Address employment-related matters, such as assisting in the response to EEOC claims.
- Perform legal research to stay at the forefront of legal/compliance risks affecting our business.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current enrollment in an accredited law school at the rising 2L level, having completed 1 year of law school with a graduation year of 2027.
- Stellar contract drafting, reviewing, and negotiating skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and will be able to work effectively under deadline pressures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills required, as is the ability to maintain a quick response time.
- Strong business judgment and strategic thinking are desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
