About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Mineração Paragominas’ dialogue and social engagement initiatives, contributing to transparent and respectful relationships with communities and other stakeholders
  • Conduct social engagement and dialogue activities with communities, associations and stakeholders within the Social Responsibility area
  • Participate in social listening, field visits, community meetings and institutional relationship activities, including supporting corporate volunteering strategies
  • Assist with social risk analyses, situational assessments and stakeholder mapping, organizing and recording information in the department’s platforms
  • Prepare and support the production of technical reports, photographic records, databases and existing social indicators
  • Support monitoring of social actions and initiatives, contributing to schedule control, record keeping and evidence collection
  • Assist in organizing forums, meetings and community events, as well as responding to social conditions and supporting internal and external audits.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Communication, Business Administration, Public Relations, Anthropology or related fields
  • Prior experience in community relations, social projects, community initiatives or similar activities is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with traditional communities (quilombola, Indigenous, riverine, rural communities) and other stakeholders
  • Ability to negotiate and manage conflicts, including in sensitive situations
  • Knowledge of ILO Convention 169, Interministerial Ordinance No. 60/2015, AFC provisions and topics related to human rights is a plus
  • Organized approach to information recording, report preparation and activity monitoring
  • Category B driver’s license (CNH) is considered an advantage
  • Availability to work in the field and travel as required by the role
  • Willingness to relocate to Paragominas, PA.
