About the role

  • Maintain a safe work environment, ensuring strict adherence to EPA, OSHA, environmental, and legal regulations while promoting the Hydro Zero accident standard.
  • Plan, implement, and monitor production schedules to meet customer deadlines and optimize plant capacity.
  • Enforce rigorous quality control standards to ensure finished aluminum products meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Recruit, lead, train, and mentor staff to foster a culture of high performance and safety.
  • Develop and manage the plant operating budget, including tracking key financial metrics (KPIs) and managing labor and maintenance costs, including budgets and capital requests.
  • Oversee maintenance and technological upgrades of machinery to ensure long-term reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Provide strategic direction for daily manufacturing activities to exceed customer expectations for quality and delivery.
  • Oversee complex aluminum-specific equipment such as extrusion presses, melting furnaces, and casting lines.
  • Drive operational excellence using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or 5S methodologies to reduce waste and improve efficiency (OEE).

Requirements

  • Minimum of ten years in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of five years within extrusion press or cast planning
  • Minimum of eight years of people leadership experience with formal training
  • Bachelor’s degree Major(s): Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or a related degree
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or 5S methodologies
  • Proficiency in ERP systems
  • Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14011, and IATF certifications
  • Travel up to 15%.
  • English required, Bi-Lingual Preferred.
